Listen and be the space is an essay and a manifesto. It starts from artistic territories and architectural to manifest the sensorial and rational imbalance of Western Society - an imbalance that negatively conditions the human essence, also in its spatial aspect.
This work transposes people's spatial experience into sound format through the exploration of language and sound in and of the space where each experience is carried out.
The work proposes a way of experiencing, thinking, updating and disseminating architecture and, in parallel, a way of thinking and acting in a direction more in line with the human essence.

Marta Sequeira (moderator)
Marta Sequeira is a professor at ISCTE and the Autonomous University of Lisbon, where she coordinates the PhD Course in Contemporary Architecture. She has a degree from the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon and a PhD from the Escola Técnica Superior de Arquitetura de Barcelona. She was the curator of several exhibitions, including the Habitar Lisboa exhibition, currently on view at the Centro Cultural de Belém.
