In this performance-conference, multidisciplinary artist Nuno Labau explores the concept of New Masculinities from a Western perspective. Drawing on the performativity of the body and its mystical dimension, he connects the masculine, the alchemical and the social, questioning norms and identities. He proposes a vision in which masculinity and femininity are constructions of the gaze, celebrating bodies free from convention.

Nuno Labau is the creator, performer and artistic director of Associação Cultural Vaca Magra. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Choreographic Creation and Professional Practices at the Escola Superior de Dança. With a degree in Circus Arts (Chapitô), he has created pieces such as "Step 2 Duplicate", "Violência das Coisas Insensíveis" and "Aluário", and teaches contemporary dance to children and adults.
