Screendance explores the hybrid art form that combines dance and audiovisual language, bringing together movement, cinematic techniques and new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality. This integration supports the creation and dissemination of works in which gestures and movements are enhanced through audiovisual language and can reach audiences worldwide through festivals, live performances and virtual platforms.
Screendance also enriches the visual dimension of performing arts, including dance, theatre, circus, music and film, offering new creative possibilities for performance. It expands the art of dance beyond the moving body, opening up new ways of experiencing movement through the screen.
Objective
To explore the relationship between screendance and technologies applied to the moving body, supporting the development and production of works that combine different dance styles with audiovisual language. Building on the topics covered during the session, participants will create screendance works individually, in pairs or in groups, using their mobile phones to capture footage for their productions.
