“DANÇA IMAGINAL® ESPAÇO DE IMAGINAÇAO CORPÓREA” IS AN ARTISTIC AND CHOREOGRAPHIC RESEARCH BASED IN LISBOn founded BY MADDALENA UGOLINI, dancer, choreographer and art dance movement therapist. DANCE AND MOVEMENT, IN THIS METHOD, EASE THE IMAGINATIVE WORK AND THE BODY BECOMES THE PLACE AND SIMULTANEOUSLY THE INSTRUMENT OF ACCESS TO THAT BEAUTY THAT, AS THE PHILOSOPHER HERACLITUS SAID, “LOVES TO HIDE”.
The lab propose an original synthesis inspired by different methods of contemporary dance, real time composition and practices of embodiment to get closer to our authentic movement and find ways to compose together. The research is mostly dedicated to improvisation following an explorative path of expressive potentialities. Various creative stimuli, objects, paint, images and sensory experiences, open the imagination of the individual and the collective body.

Maddalena Ugolini is a dancer, choreographer, founder and teacher of Dança Imaginal®. After working with dance and photography in the United States, she moved to Lisbon, where she founded her project “Dança Imaginal”.
Peppe Coniglio has worked with several international directors. In Lisbon he identifies the camera as an interesting tool for investigating reality, visual research that leads him to explore life in its most different and surprising forms.
