Last year, InShadow - Lisbon Screendance Festival celebrated its 16th edition. From 7 November to 15 December, the capital's only video dance festival moved the city with a programme full of artistic innovation.

By filling the cultural spaces of Lisbon with artistic creations that included video dance, documentary and animation, as well as the performing and visual arts, we once again gave the stage to the constant relationship between the image and the body.

Casa do Comum, Teatro do Bairro, Museu da Marioneta and Cinemateca Portuguesa were among the 18 venues where the festival took place, hosting six performances, six special sessions, eight photo exhibitions, six artistic installations, including three looped video dance collections, two master classes and nine workshops. The highlight, however, is definitely our International Competitions: from over 400 submissions, 100 films were screened in 15 sessions, and 33 countries were represented.

To celebrate and reflect on our last edition, as well as to present news about the future of the festival, we're returning to Fnac Chiado on February 26th, at 6:30 pm, to host an event that will include screenings of some of the most recent award-winning films, as well as the presence of guest artists.

Join us and experience the best of the international video dance scene! Entrance is free.

We would also like to remind you that the Open Call for the 17th edition of the festival is now open!
