26 November to 9 December

Espaço Cultural das Mercês

Monday to Friday | 2pm to 8pm

Kaput! is a collection of records and experiments in reducing dance to a choreography of points in space. It presents systematic representations of bodies and movements, between more or less geometric graphics and apparent mathematical expressions. These concepts are brought together in a geometric mirror, and also in a ‘generator’ of choreographic prototypes, customisable by visitors.

The exhibition (choreographic laboratory) is made up of a mural of schemes drawn up during the conceptual conception of Kaput! and two interactive objects: a machine that produces choreographic graphs from input data and an interactive projection of the body's transformation into a stickman.

26 November | 6.30pm

The inauguration will feature the performance (Kaput!), a solo choreography made up of 324 possible combinations of movements between 3 parts of the body

Venue:

Espaço Cultural das Mercês - R. Cecílio de Sousa 94, 1200-100 Lisboa

Joana Franco has a bachelor's degree in dance (2019) and a master's degree in choreographic creation (2023).

In recent years, she has been interested in choreography mainly as a subject for the study of bodies in movement, in greater or lesser proximity to dance.

Her work is characterised by a multidisciplinary practice, geared towards logical processes of expanding knowledge and producing provisional results.
