The 16th edition began on 7 November and ran until 15 December with various proposals and unpredictable encounters between cinema, dance and technology. The Festival once again spread throughout the city of Lisbon, occupying cultural venues such as the Museu da Marioneta, Teatro do Bairro, Cinemateca Portuguesa, Biblioteca de Alcântara, Espaço Cultural das Mercês, Espaço Santa Catarina, Galeria e Cisterna da Faculdade de Belas-Artes de Lisboa (FBAUL), the multidisciplinary hub SAFRA, Short Cutz Lisboa (Cossul - Sociedade de Instrução Guilherme Cossoul), Coruchéus - Um Teatro em Cada Bairro, and Caís do Sodré and Santa Apolónia stations. We also had the collaboration of Casa do Comum, which for the first time joined the group of venues that welcomed us.

An intense programme took place in 18 venues in Lisbon with 58 events, 6 performances, 100 films in competition, 3 installations with 53 videodances, 8 photography exhibitions, 2 interactive installations, 6 workshops, 2 masterclasses, 6 special sessions, 43 countries represented, the participation of more than 200 artists and more than 4,500 people visiting InShadow. It has shown 6 world premiere films, 12 European premiere films and 59 national premiere films.
